This was the best book of last year for me. What we Brits might call, \"a ripping yarn!\". Far too often I found myself lost in 30`s New York when I really should have been getting on with other things. I re-read \"The Dunwich Horror\" and \"Shadow Over Innsmouth\" right after and enjoyed them all over again. It also made me google for Talbot Mundy, look at maps of islands off the New England coast and decide that \"The White Horse Tavern\" should be added to my list of `things to see` in New York. Definately a book I`ll read again from time to time in the future. I hope Mr. Malmont`s next book will be set in the same atmospheric era.
